When James’s parents Graham and Linda took him to a local indoor kart circuit as a birthday treat neither of them realised the importance of the occasion or what would be forthcoming from this one simple gesture. James was instantly hooked and immediately showed a raw ability in a kart.
The family made the necessary investment in the basic kit required and for a while James practiced with the perienced TKM. Once he was up to speed he took his ARKS driving test, this test ensures that a newcomer is of an ability to allow him to race safely.
James had his first competitive race at BuckMore Park and went on to achieve several podiums during this first season, including Second place in the BuckMore Park Championship.

James lives in Hockley Essex and was born in the town on ,30/1/1990

Lifestyle
To the uninitiated the lifestyle of a driver may seem like loads of fun and glamour and little else, the reality however is vastly different.
In an average week James has to fit in a minimum of 2 strenuous fitness sessions with his friend, if there is no race at the weekend there will invariably be a test pro gramme to complete, keeping him and his equipment at the peak of condition ready for the upcoming races.
Many of these test sessions take place across the country involving James and his support team in many hours of tedious travel by road . When testing can be done there is still miles of traveling to do by road.
During holidays he is rarely at home as he is either competing or testing. Oh! and he has to fit in work and his fitness which is seen as vital by both James and his parents.
To be successfull drivers have to be completely dedicated to their sport, James is dedicated and remains so until this day believing that hard work is the key to success.
