as well as grease the inner cabels to carb/clutch etc smear the outer cable and it helps stop moisture creep into inner

carry a few tools in your bubble and cable ties,crimp connectors etc always handy as a get you home job

if you have a heinkel/trojan carry a spare clutch and gear arm as tey are prone to break at the worst time,a two min job to swap them and your on your way home again

have a spare condensor fitted to your car so if one fails just switch over and away you go,very cheap and small item that sometimes fails

carry a small tow rope and mobile phone with you to get you off the main road and to ring your mates up to give you a push
